For this model I made use of Max's motion capture function to animate the turret, gun fire and shell particles using the mouse and keyboard to generate the motion capture. Animation (requires indeo video 5)

I then used a IK sytem combined with splines to set the walking animation and direction. And then set gravity and deflectors onto the particle shells to make them bounce along the floor.
